The Blanket Series was influenced by a move from New York to Santa Fe about twenty years ago.  In Santa Fe I was introduced to a world of Southwest AmerIcan Indian Artifacts and beautiful hand woven Indian Blankets.  The canvas that you see here are signature examples of this series.  The organization of space and the division of the canvas by the lines and the use of the crosses are symbol and directions taken directly from the ancient blankets.
